Greek InterVarsity provides an environment where Greek students can
come together to talk about God and what it means to be Christian. We are an interdenominational
Christian organization that is looking to spiritually resource fraternity and sorority
students on the UW – Madison campus.
We are looking to reach a unique culture which has historically been sworn off by
the Christian community. We want to empower students to live a life of obedience by
walking personally with the Lord, by spending time with Him through His Word and in
prayer, and by living a lifestyle of evangelism. And finally, to provide students
the opportunity to be leaders for Christ both now and for the future. We accomplish
these goals through the elements of our ministry.
LARGE GROUP MEETINGS: A weekly time of encouragement, fellowship,
prayer, training, teaching, nurturing, and worshipping. It provides a refuge for our
leaders as well as an outreach opportunity.
HOUSE STUDIES: Accessible, safe environments where
students can meet in their respective houses to talk about God and the Bible.
DISCIPLESHIP: Smaller, more personal meetings with the intention of training leaders and providing an atmosphere for spiritual growth.
COMMUNITY EVENTS: Outreach and fellowship opportunities which help us develop a tight-knit community on which to rely as we reach out to the Greek system.
PRAYER MEETINGS: Meetings where members can come together
for corporate missional prayer and to trust God to move in our Ministry.
